History of Pleasant Grove, Texas
Pleasant Grove is an area located in the southeast potion of Dallas, Texas. The first settlers in Pleasant Grove area were in the 1840’s. In 1900 Dallas Country showed Pleasant Grove as a small community with a store. The first brick schoolhouse was built in 1916. The population grew from 120 to 3,500 between 1943 and 1952. In the late 1040’s, Pleasant Grove had seven businesses.
